What’s up with that?

In my opinion, It's down to one or more things which include them thinking it'll revive some interest and drive into their scene lives, which effictively is wrong. If you don't have the motivation to post in the FM sections and whatnot as a member, why would you have motivation with a little 'badge' under your username? Others work hard for the job, then when they have it. They take their foot off the pedal and decide to kick back and relax, they're sorted now. Well that aint the way it works. Ok, fair enough there are the people who actually have proper lives, work a full-time/part-time job, have kids, have a mortgage to pay off and so on, but if you're planning on taking up some kind of responsibility on the internet, take some time for consideration. Ask yourself, will you have the time to produce content? Will you have time to give to the site? It doesn't matter the hour, you're content will still be there the next morning/night.
I'm a firm believer that this is why the scene has come to a 'slow'. How can anyone expect anything to get done with an unsecure staff team that has to accustom to a change or re-adjust every time somebody leaves/arrives? It's just too hard and also annoying for fellow staff members.
Now, I'm not one to talk about holding down a job on the internet, I'm not exactly an angel for that as you all know. But when I'm asked upon, I deliver. As do most people, without a doubt. But there are always some, who portray some sort of interest and then don't deliver. They often rely on their reputation to get them places and well, often it works.
Perhaps it's time for a venture into the unknown? Why not appoint somebody who we all know nothing about? It's worth the risk don't you think? They'd have drive, more drive than us regulars would have. Most Sites, and I don't mean this offensively, wont approach or appoint a 'no0b', well just because he's new. That's not the way it should be done, Ok, Toony was relatively new when he got his position, but that was only after he showed his writing talent.
The scene is ultimately too, hmm how can you say this?…Straight Edge? I think that'd be about right. It's time I think for people to start making a few risks, after all, You wont know until you've tried it.
